Scrap Cable and Copper Buyers for Electricians

Turn cable offcuts, drum ends, strip-out cable and bright copper into money between jobs. We grade cable on its copper content with you, weigh every grade in front of you and pay you before you leave.

Quick answer

Where Can Electricians Sell Cable Offcuts in Adelaide?

SA Copper Scraps buys cable offcuts, drum ends, strip-out cable, bright copper wire and busbar from electricians at 12 Belfree Dr, Green Fields. Cable is priced on how much copper it holds, so heavy power cable pays more than thin data cable. No booking needed; paid by bank transfer the same visit.

Your Offcuts Are Worth More Than You Think

Every job leaves cable offcuts, drum ends and strip-out cable, and most of it is copper by weight once you get into the heavier sizes. Kept sorted on site, it adds up quickly.

We grade cable by type with you: heavy power cable, building wire, flex and data cable each carry different amounts of copper. Bright stripped wire and busbar are paid at copper rates. Electricians from Mawson Lakes, Salisbury and across the north drop in between jobs.

What we buy

What Electricians Bring In

Sort by type on the job and each grade is paid at its own rate.

Insulated power cable, TPS and building wire from new work.

Old cable from rewires and switchboard upgrades.

Stripped, clean copper wire with no insulation, tin or burning.

Copper busbar and earth bars from switchboards.

Exhaust fans, pumps and motors with copper windings.

Data and flex cable

Lower copper content, so keep it in its own bag.

Get a better price

How Electricians Get a Better Price

Small habits on site make a big difference at the scales.

Separate bins on the ute

One for heavy cable, one for building wire, one for data and flex.

Stripping thin cable rarely pays for the time. Heavy cable is worth stripping.

Never burn insulation

It is illegal, toxic and oxidises the copper so it grades lower.

Cut off plugs and lugs

Steel and plastic attachments lower the grade of the whole bag.
