These terms apply when you use the SA Copper Scraps website, ask us for a quote, sell scrap metal at our yard at 12 Belfree Dr, Green Fields SA 5107, or join our email list. SA Copper Scraps (ABN 53 643 157 019) is referred to as “we”, “us” and “our”.

Using Our Website

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. You must not use the website for anything unlawful, try to interfere with how it works, or send us false, offensive or automated (spam) messages through our forms.

We work hard to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but it is general information only. It may change without notice and is not professional advice.

Prices, Price Guides and Quotes

Prices on this website, in our emails and given over the phone or by email are guides only. Scrap metal prices follow the market and can change daily.
The price we pay is confirmed at the yard after we have graded and weighed your material. Grade, cleanliness, contamination and weight all affect the final price.
A quote is an estimate based on the information you give us. It is not a promise to buy at that price if the material is different from what was described.
Prices are in Australian dollars.

Selling Scrap Metal at Our Yard

Photo ID. South Australian law requires us to identify every seller and keep a record of each purchase. Please bring current photo identification every time you sell to us.
Ownership. By selling to us you confirm that you own the material, or are authorised to sell it, and that it is not stolen. We report suspected stolen material to police and cooperate fully with their enquiries.
Grading and weighing. Every load is graded and weighed on our scales in front of you. We grade material by type and quality, and we may separate or downgrade material that is mixed, dirty or contaminated.
Payment. We pay for accepted material once it has been graded and weighed, and give you a record of the sale.
Our right to refuse. We may refuse to buy any material, including material we believe is stolen, unsafe, hazardous or contaminated, or that we are not permitted to accept.
Safety at the yard. Please follow our staff’s directions, stay in the areas shown to you, keep children and pets in your vehicle, and wear enclosed shoes. You are responsible for loading and unloading safely.

Our Email List

If you tick “Email me SA Copper Scraps price updates, news and events” on one of our forms, or sign up through our newsletter form, you agree to receive emails from us about our prices, yard news and events.

Joining is free and optional. You do not need to join to get a quote or sell to us.
Prices in our emails are guides only, on the same terms as section 2.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, by replying to an email, or by contacting us. We stop straight away.
After you send a quote request, contact form or newsletter sign-up, we also send you one automatic email confirming we received it. This is a service email, not marketing.
We use your details as set out in our Privacy Policy, and we never sell or share our email list.

Content and Copyright

The text, photos, logos and design of this website belong to SA Copper Scraps or are used with permission. You may view and share links to our pages, but you may not copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Our website may link to other websites, such as Google Maps or Google reviews. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

Our Responsibility to You

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on price guides or quotes, and our liability for any purchase is limited to the amount agreed for that purchase.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated, and the version on this page applies from that date.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.

SA Copper Scraps is a scrap metal buyer and recycler at Green Fields in Adelaide’s north. Bring copper, brass, aluminium, cable, batteries and more to our yard. Every grade is weighed in front of you and paid the same visit.
